Inspired by a facebook conversation with my friend KatieHS I am getting serious about stripping off the squishy middle bits and putting more functional muscle on this skinny geek frame of mine.
Katie and I are committing to 10 weeks of the “Every Other Day Diet” – which puts us out to Thanksgiving. I’ve used my friend Jon Benson’s protocols loosely before, so since I’m going to actually follow the plan, as written, I’m diving straight into the Lifestyle 2 plan with feed days on Wednesdays and Saturdays which coincides nicely with the social eating that I already do.
After re-reading bits of EODD last night I made myself a shake this morning using what I had on hand — protein powder, water, and frozen peaches. I’ve got plenty of goodies on my shopping list for today, so tomorrow’s shake with be much less, um, gross.
My snack/mini-meals are set for today and I just need to figure out protein to go with the samosas tonight. Oh, and for tomorrow I need to remember to do my 9min morning exercises before dumping this much liquid in my belly!
